There is a community Flag pole located on the front of the Huntsville Civic Centre building. Flags are flown in support of fund-raising drives important to the residents of Huntsville. Also to celebrate civic events important to the residents of Huntsville, or for other reasons as determined by the Mayor.
We will also host a Virtual Flag Raising for your event on our website homepage, news, event calendar, and social media channels for a period of 7 days, where space exists.
All requests for a flag raising will be made in writing to the Clerk using the Application for Flag Raising Form.
Organizations not pre-approved by Council must first obtain approval by presenting a deputation to General Committee/Council with their request. Approval may take up to 90 days pending meeting cycle.
Application requests for organizations with pre-approval are to be submitted at least three (3) weeks prior to the day requested for the raising of the flag.
