Huntsville BIA Application for Sidewalk Patio

 

This is an application to use a portion of a municipally owned sidewalk within the Town of Huntsville Downtown Business Improvement Area (BIA) for a sidewalk patio as an extension of an existing restaurant.

Checklist of Attachments

Read Patio Sidewalk Use Policy – BIA at www.Huntsville.ca and/or connect with Town of Huntsville Economic Development Officer, Lauren MacDermid, at lauren.macdermid@huntsville.ca.

Please have the following ready before filling this form:

New Application:

  • Application fee $250
  • Sketch of the proposal with the following:
    1. Proposed layout of the sidewalk patio
    2. Proposed number and arrangement of tables, chairs, umbrellas etc.
    3. Location of any street furniture
    4. Location of any impacted parking areas
    5. Proposed entrance/exit locations
    6. Proposed fence and/or sidewalk design and materials
    7. Location of doors and/or windows on the front of the building
  • BIA Completed Criteria Checklist (connect with BIA Manager to complete)
  • Landlord’s Letter (if different from applicant)
  • Proof of Notification to Neighboring Businesses
  • Certificate of Insurance, naming the Corporation of the Town of Huntsville as additional insured

Renewal Application

  • Application fee $50
  • Certificate of Insurance, naming the Corporation of the Town of Huntsville as additional insured
